![]() ![]() The designs are lovely, and you can colour as simply or as complexly as you like. I love Johanna Basford's colouring books, they're better than most. The last photo shows a comparison between the Secret Garden and my "old" book Tropical Wonderland (same style different author). I have another book like this and ended up removing all the bindings so I could work the pages comfortably.I would have returned it but that is an upfront cost I can't afford so will use it as best I can.** Photos were taken against a white sheet. Individual pages can't easily be removed. This paper totally changes the colour outcome for all the colour mediums I use regular, watercolour and metallic coloured pencils, and gel pens. The book is fully bound and not all pages lie flat so that double spread images are hard to complete. This whole book is made with yellow/sepia? toned paper. I like the treasure hunt and whole concept of the book BUT: The copy I received is not as shown or described.**Please refer to photos".in an inky black-and-white wonderland." NOT black ink on white paper. The artwork itself is very beautiful, the only reason I gave any stars. ![]()
